Captain America is the first movie in the build up to the new 'Avengers Assemble'. Based on the Marvel comics, it is set during the second world in which an all new super formula has been invented to help the americans defeat a new sinister enemy. But, when a small dorky soldier is given the formula, his life is changed forever as he destroys wave after wave of nazi encampments.
The film is what you'd consider a perfect example of a traditional superhero movie. It's cheesy and patriotic yet has amazing action at vital points. I personally loved the movie, finding that every other minute I was wincing or laughing, playing perfectly to the directors expectations. Of course with action, you get amazing CGI and special affects, sound affects and camera work; all of which made the movie the amazing film it was.
However, the story to the film was not quite as good as the action and lacked drama in certain places. Although the stunts of the film created an amazing emotive link with the characters, I think the missing drama lost what extra magic the movie could have had. Also, a lot of the weaponry technology that both sides had was unrealistic for the time period and made it seem more fantastical than the almost realistic feel that created the empathy between the viewer and the character.
However, the fact still remains that the content that the audience paid for (the action) was all better than perfect and the whole film was what I'd consider a perfect super hero movie.
If you've seen this film, tell me what you think and if not, why not. It's a great film and I heartily recommend it to any action lover out there.
It's awsome!!!!!! IThink it's amazing.
